Peat fibre can be used to manufacture fibreboard by using both the wet and
dry methods. The possible binding agents include PVA, latex and starch, but other binders may also be considered. Various combination fibre solutions are also possible to introduce the desired additional properties to the product.

Transferring the special properties of peat fibres to end products depends on the manufacturing process used to produce fibreboard. Peat fibre prevents fungal and bacterial growth and it offers good heat insulation characteristics.
